So far I can park the car, restart and go about my drive but this is Dangerous! Lights popping off andon all the time. If you stop and shut the car off, the warning light clear but then come back on as you drive. I feel this should be a safety issue, and should warrant a recall. I will be driving back with this same situation as I have to get it back home where there is no authorized service on snowpacked roads. We would take it into Discount Tires where we purchased tires.

The front rotors were both very hot Rears much less so. Whenever your Honda detects a fault that will turn on your check engine light, the car also disables the Vehicle Stability Assist and turns on your general warning indicator the triangle. Another issue is the vehicle stability lights, the adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation, road departure mitigation, and a brake lights all flash stating there is a problem. We have had it in the shop and they are confused as well.
They must have checked for that. One day without warning all four brakes locked. Can't afford to spend thousands for guess work. A critical warning light will be red or amber colored and requires immediate attention. What is Honda going to do about it. It went into the body shop for repairs, and when I picked it up, it was doing as described by so many other people on here. My Honda dealership diagnosed the problem to be a faulty abs modulator unit.
As my husband spoke to the manager He told from 2007 to 2014 they had problems and from 2015-16 they tried to widen the rotor but that didnt work. When they searched for codes all 4 lights were on no error codes came up. Hope this helps you understand the problem. We do have this same issue on on 2010 Honda Oddyssey. A class action suit finally allowed me to recoupe some monies minus labor and here I am at 90,000 and the brakes are apparently completely gone??? This car has been experiencing braking issues for the last 3 months. It had 52000 on it.
Just leave a comment in the box below and I will get back to you soon, thanks. At first I thought my transmission went out like I was stuck in 2nd gear. Have it checked quick, your battery could be over charging or under charging, and both could leave you stranded. This tells you that you need to fill your tank immediately. Light reset and not had the problem since. Turning the car off and back on a few times seemed to reset the problem.
I went another half block and the car started braking by itself. Had to get it towed. Every time the car is shut off, the light clears. After pressing and pulling the brake pedal for several minutes I was able to get the brakes to release. We had planned to give this vehicle to our college-bound granddaughter, but of course, we cannot do that now. Only had it a month and it's been in the shop 3 times.
I feel that this defect is essential in ensuring the overall safety of this car. We have a 2006 Honda Pilot that we purchased in 2006. To bad, make things right and do not hide behind a corporate veil saying gee we didn't know! The second and third time the weather was clear. Obviously, this is a very dangerous situation and should be corrected by Honda. I was able to start and go normally but the car seemed to drag and pull left slightly.
Warning lights went on after battery replaced, and will not go off. The service manager and a technician came to where we were and ran the code reader but it didn't show a code. The vsa warning light also came on. I was driving on The freeway going the speed limit 55, while it was raining. About half hour later light camr on and stayed on.
I have one payment left on the car and am planning on having it towed but I can only imagine what the dealership is going to charge me to fix this issue. I took my car in for the recall and guess what! I was just barely able to avoid being hit by traffic as this happened at a highway exit ramp. It has happened many times when I have my children in the vehicle. It's happened about 7 times in the last 6 weeks - a couple of them could've caused an accident. I have 2006 crv ex with the vsa, check engine, and the triangle lights. I contacted Honda and was assigned a case number, but have not spoken to anyone since filing the complaint. The car also seemed to be attempting to apply the brake on its own.
