Return to the vehicle and firmly press and hold the trained HomeLink button for two seconds and release. This should take about 5 seconds. Instructions apply to all three locations. I'm having issues programming my pathfinder and g35's homelinks to the same garage door opener. I just moved into a new house. The homelink button is now programmed. The garage should now activate when the programmed HomeLink button is firmly pressed and released.
There are 30 seconds in which to initiate step 7. Continue to press both buttons until the homelink light rapidly flashes. My Craftsman unit has lights on both sides of the motor. A new battery will increase the speed and accuracy in which the hand-held remote sends its signal to HomeLink. They told me my Homelink might be defective, to have it checked out at the dealer. I have a Craftsman as well. Antenna on the garage door opener unit must be hanging down, fully extended.
Do this procedure again and, depending on the make of your garage door opener, do this procedure a third time to complete the procedure. Position the hand-held transmitter 1-3 inches away from the HomeLink surface located on your mirror , keeping the HomeLink indicator light in view. Make sure you are not blocking your view of the red indicator in HomeLink. After two hours of frustration, I was able to program my remote with the instructions from the homelink. If the red indicator in HomeLink continues to flash slowly does not begin to flash rapidly , repeat steps 2 thru 4. Release the buttons, then go to step 1. Has anyone else had this problem? I hope people can help me here.
Hey everyone, I'm wondering if there's something I'm missing here. Unplug the garage door opener motor from the electrical outlet. Hold Both Buttons Until Red Indicator Light Blinks It should start blinking slowly then begin flashing rapidly about 90 seconds. Press and hold down the learn button until the learn indicator light goes out approx. My garage door opener is a Genie Screwdrive that I bought a year ago and I haven't had any problem programming other remotes with it using the learn button.
I tried the rolling code method and of course it didn't work. One of my remote controls had a weak battery- my system was installed today, fresh out of the box. Again, and pressed 3 times still nothing. You should be all set. Fixed the problem by going to. . The Battery in the garage door remote may be too weak to program Homelink.
In the Touareg, press and hold whichever homelink button you want to program until the light above the homelink buttons slowly blinks. Now your Homelink button should operate your garage door. The homelink button should work in the Touareg and your remote transmitter s should also work. Release both buttons after red indicator starts blinking rapidly. Presently -17 celcius tonight so it comes in very handy with hands full etc. That is what I did and it worked. Firmly press, hold for two seconds, and release the programmed HomeLink button. If you are training the second or third buttons, go directly to step 1.
